Hello, my name is Jaime. I always knew I wanted to be an artist. I just didn't realize where my life adventures woud take me first. I was born in Kansas City, Missouri and at 3 months old my Dad's career moved us
to Indonesia until returning to Missouri for a year in Kindergarten. The
next 4 years we lived in Saudi Arabia and Darwin, Australia. In Australia at age 7 I had decided I would write and illustrate children's books.

Eventually we moved to Lee's Summit, Missouri where I graduated
high school. My high school opened a lot of opportunities for me in the arts. I was an alto saxophone player, the school newspaper editor and enrolled in every drawing and painting class I could get my hands on
(or my parents would allow; as long as my I.B. honors grades were
high... Ha ha.). At this point at age 18 I had decided I would become
a journalist. It wasn't until after one semester at Mizzou that I realized
I wanted to design the magazine, not write for one.

I soon convinced my parents that graphic design was "a practical art career path", and so I transferred to the Philadelphia Art Institute. I met my husband Tony while we both studied graphic design. Now we live in The Woodlands (near Houston, TX) with our two dogs... a whippet
named Cooper and a chihuahua named Pixie.
